Trio Image (Gergana Gergova-violin, Thomas Kaufmann-cello, Pavlin Nechevpiano) is currently studying with Prof. Andreas Reiner at the Folkwang- Hochschule in Essen, Germany. The trio is a member of the ECMA (European Chamber Music Academy) and works regularly with Hatto Beyerle. Trio Image received further musical impulses from Bernhard Greenhouse, Anner Bylsma, Shumuel Ashkenasi, Eberhardt Feltz, Erich Höbarth, Gábor Takács-Nagy, Ferenc Rados, Antonio Meneses, Heinrich Schiff, Avedis Kouyoumdjan, Christoph Richter and Ulf Schneider.
Trio Image was invited to perform at Gidon Kremer's Lockenhaus Chamber Music Fest, at the International Music Festival Varna Summer, International Week Graz, Schubertiade Atzenbrugg, Konzerthaus Berlin and gave concerts in
Helsinki, Zürich, Hamburg, Hannover, Düsseldorf, Bonn, Vienna, Bratislava amongst others.
In 2006 the trio played a welcome concert for the Swedish Queen Silvia at the Folkwang museum in Essen. In 2005 Trio Image was scholarship holder of the Dörken Foundation.
Trio Image was awarded the 3rd Prize and the audience prize at the 6th International Competition „Schubert and the Music of Modern Times“ Graz 2006. In 2008 the trio won the „Folkwangpreis“ from the City of Essen and the
„Köhler-Osbahr“ Competition in Duisburg and was prizewinner of the 5th International Chambermusic Competition “Joseph Joachim” in Weimar.
The trio have recorded for WDR, ORF, Bulgarian Broadcast and Radio Bartok.
