As an “excellent and brilliant” (from “Sofia Word”) conductor who “kept the audience out of breath” (from “Seven Days”, Zagreb), high praise has followed Dian Tchobanov since his conducting debut in 2001 with the Vienna Radio Symphony Orchestra. In the same year he has served as Music Director of “Oper Oder-Spree” Festival (Germany) witch has followed by the Assistance of “Klangbogen” Vienna in 2002. Mr. Tchobanov also appeared as conductor with great orchestras like Budapest Festival Orchestra (where he was Assistant of Ivan Fischer), Zagreb Philharmonic Orchestra and Bulgarian National Radio Symphony Orchestra.
"Mr. Dian Tchobanov, MA, is a highly gifted conductor with a great future. He has conducted my music with great intensity, quality and expressiveness that's why I would invite him again for conducting any time. I would like to introduce him to the music world as an excellent and brilliant artist in future. What have impressed me the most is the fuse of his intellectual and subconscious sphere during conducting in a way that he kept the audience out of breath every time.
Phenomenal...
A new Karajan is in view..."
Maestro Milko Kelemen, composer and president of the Zagreb Music biennale, 2004.
