Kremena Acheva, flute

 

In the age of 12, she took part in the Days of Bulgarian culture in Vienna, Prague and Bratislava. As a schoolgirl she was the soloist of the Youth Orchestra in Rouse, and realized concerts in Germany. She was awarded  with first  prizes in national competitions.

Today she is principal flutist of the Sofia Philharmonic Orchestra and soloist of the World Youth Orchestra "Jeunesses  Musicales" in Sweden, Holland, Denmark and Germany. Kremena Acheva is award winner of many national and international competitions such “Crystal Lira” in Bulgaria, “Jeunesse  musicales” in Belgrade, the Chamber Music Competition in Thessaloniki, “Praha Springs’  and others.

She made three concert tours in Japan: in 1999  (Tokio, Okayama, Hacodate, Okinawa) , 2006  (Osaka, Okayama,  Nara) and 2007 (Osaka, Nara, Kyoto). She is also flute teacher at the National Music School, Sofia. Kremena Acheva took part on many recordings of  a film music (“Octopus”, “Juglio Cesare”, “Napoleon,  “Rembrandt” /Claus Maria  Brandauer/, “The Punisher” /John Travolta), working with famous omposers (Ennio Moriccone, Manuel de Sica, Carlo Silioto, Bruno Coulais) and for important and CD productions (CD of Luciano Pavaroti - “Ti adoro”),
for the Bulgarian National Radio and Television (BNR & BNT).

Her enormous solo repertoire covers almost all periods of classical and romantical music.
